Debbie has over ten years' experience within recruitment, the first two years of which were spent with a leading recruitment consultancy, where she was responsible for senior level finance recruitment. She then moved in house to manage and develop the recruitment function for the leading international law firm, Herbert Smith, where she spent over four years prior to joining First Counsel in 2004.
At Herbert Smith Debbie was responsible for all senior level recruitment specialising in HR, business development, IT, finance and general management. She was responsible for managing all elements of the recruitment process which incorporated resource planning, competency based interviewing and psychometric testing. In addition Debbie was also responsible for providing generalist HR support and designing and facilitating training courses on recruitment and interview techniques to all recruitment managers.
One of Debbie's recognised strengths is her ability to build close relationships with and develop a sound understanding of her client base.
