Slater's Dozen

“Slater’s Dozen”, first published in the summer of 2007, is a collection of thought-pieces on law firm management written by Simon Slater, director of First Counsel and head of our consulting business. The articles were commissioned by various legal and management publications in the period between the dot-com bubble and the advent of the Legal Services Act. They track the seismic changes taking place in the legal market and, in some cases, paint a picture of even more radical transformations to follow in the years to come.
